Library fund drive letters delivered

MOUNT CARMEL — Fifteen students from Villa Joseph Marie High School in Bucks County last week completed the delivery of fund drive letters from the Mount Carmel Area Public Library to households in all sections of Mount Carmel Borough. The students adopted the project during a community service visit to the Mother Maria Kaupas Center.

Although students and their adult leaders made a good-faith effort to reach all streets and alleys running east-west and north-south, it’s possible there may be homes that were inadvertently missed.

The library administration and board of directors asks that the vast majority of Mount Carmel Borough residents who have received the letter and anyone who may have been missed on the door-to-door distribution consider making a donation to the library. Any monetary contribution, regardless of the size, is needed and appreciated.

Additional volunteers are expected to deliver the drive letter to homes in Mount Carmel Township, Kulpmont and Marion Heights within the next few weeks.
