Davis painting

Chet Davis’ acrylic painting “Cell Cells” is part of “The Future” exhibit, for which there is an opening reception today in Bloomsburg.

BLOOMSBURG — The future is here and on exhibit at the Exchange Gallery, 24 E. Main St.

The gallery is host to “The Future,” a juried exhibition that presents artists’ visions and interpretations of what the future might be like.

Lycoming College art professor Leah Bedrosian Paterson was the exhibition juror who selected the work of 18 artists from across Pennsylvania and New York.

The show consists of 26 pieces including painting, photography, mixed media, drawing, sculpture and video. Local artist Chet Davis, of Paxinos, has two paintings accepted into the exhibit and Ashland artist Bob McCormick has a collage included in the show.

An opening reception for “The Future” is set for 6 to 8 p.m. today and will be on exhibit until Aug 10. The reception is free and open to the public.
