Guilty plea

SHAMOKIN — Miguel Angel Torres Jr., 21, of 421 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of a small amount of marijuana and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs.

An additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Torres was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with an April 29 incident at his apartment.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN — Dale R. Hart Jr., 34, of 1550 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for retail theft for allegedly stealing a phone charger from the Dollar General at 6:42 p.m. Friday.

Public drunkenness

SHAMOKIN — Corey Feese, 18, of 444 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Shane Mowery for public drunkenness after he was found unconscious in the parking lot at FNB Bank at 100 W. Independence St., at 6:15 p.m. July 3.

Retail theft, criminal mischief

SHAMOKIN — Janelle Sassani, 32, of 708 Kase St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for retail theft and criminal mischief relating to a June 29 incident at the Dollar General.

Police reported Sassani concealed items in a stroller and attempted to leave the store without paying for them shortly before 1 p.m. Police said Sassani also allowed her son to damage merchandise in the store and open items for sale.

Drug possession

SHAMOKIN — Carrie Elizabeth Feudale, 28, of 52 S. Pearl St., Shamokin, has been charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with drug possession as the result of an incident which occurred on May 21.

According to police, Feudale was observed slumped over in a vehicle parked outside Turkey Hill Minit Markets at 140 W. Lincoln St., Shamokin. Meth was subsequently found in her possession following a request for her drivers license and she admitted to smoking meth.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN — Randy Marten Hensel Jr., 30, of 138 E. Lincoln St., Shamokin, was charged with shoplifting by Patrolman Scott Weaver for a June 28 incident, in which he reportedly attempted to steal fireworks from the Dollar General store by stuffing them inside his clothing.

Drug possession

SHAMOKIN — Patrolman Bryan Primerano has charged Robert Ortiz, 42, of 33 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, with drug possession stemming from a June 29 incident. According to police, Ortiz was smoking marijuana when he filed a false report of being threatened by two individuals with guns.

Drug paraphernalia

SHAMOKIN — Desiree Warner, 33, of 406 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with drug possession as she reportedly had nine syringes in her possession as observed by Northumberland County Adult Probation Officers at a property located at 511 N. Franklin St.
