MOUNT CARMEL — Charges are pending against a Mount Carmel man accused of crashing his van into 10 parked vehicles, including two borough police cruisers, early Sunday on multiple streets.

Cpl. William Adamski reported Gary Updike, 43, of 412 N. Chestnut St., was driving a white utility van at 3:47 a.m. when his vehicle struck two parked vehicles in the first block of South Vine Street.
