MOUNT CARMEL — A 52-year-old Reading man already deemed as a sexually violent predator under Megan’s Law has been charged with multiple felony offenses including statutory sexual assault involving two incidents with a 15-year-old female in Mount Carmel earlier this year.
Ricky Lee Levengood is incarcerated at Mifflin County Prison after being arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Michael Diehl, of Milton, on felonies of statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault without consent, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors, and misdemeanors of indecent assault without consent and indecent assault with a person less than 16 years old.
The charges were filed by Patrolman Justin Stelma.
On two occasions, police reported Levengood is accused of having sexual intercourse with the 15-year-old girl and grabbing her breasts in a wooded area. The victim told police Levengood told her that he loved her and that they should have sex more often.
After the second incident, the victim said she blocked Levengood on her cell phone.
The victim told police she was afraid to tell anyone about the two incidents.
The incidents were reported to police by the victim’s guardian July 15 and the victim was interviewed July 20 at the Child Advocacy Center in Sunbury.
State Constable Patrick Reynolds took Levengood into custody in the Reading area Tuesday. He was committed to prison by Diehl in lieu of $200,000 cash bail.
