MOUNT CARMEL — Retired professional wrestling champion Ron Simmons, who also earned All-American football honors as a nose tackle at Florida State University, delighted wrestling fans of all ages Saturday afternoon by signing autographs and reminiscing about his history-making careers at the Greek Isle Cafe on Oak Street.

The 60-year-old native of Perry, Georgia, spent two hours at the local restaurant owned and operated by Nick Dimitratos, of Mount Carmel, a former independent professional wrestler who went by the name Nick Destiny during his days in the ring.
