SHAMOKIN — A crew of more than 25 people gathered Thursday morning in the banquet hall of the Knights of Columbus to prepare for a Thanksgiving Day community meal.

Knights and friends of the organization packaged cranberry sauce, laid out desserts and carried roasters filled with turkey, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole from the kitchen to tables lined up in the hall.
