SHAMOKIN — A joint investigation by Shamokin police and the Northumberland/Montour County Drug Task Force resulted in the seizure of 1,725 packets of fentanyl and heroin, which police say is one of the largest busts ever in Shamokin.

Brian Villari, 32, of 43 N. Marshall St., Shamokin, is charged by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance relating to a police stakeout held 11 p.m. Wednesday on Market and Independence streets.
