SHAMOKIN — The man accused of shooting another man early Saturday morning before fleeing to Mount Carmel and initiating a standoff with police has been charged with attempted homicide and other felonies, according to documents filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic.

Akeem Tyree Gregory, 30, of 405 E. Sunbury St., Apt. 4-4, Shamokin, is facing additional felony counts of aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, criminal trespass and owning a firearm as a convict and a misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment relating to a 12:18 a.m. incident Saturday during which he allegedly shot Joel Santiago.
