Two arrested for possessing meth, fentanyl

MOUNT CARMEL — Two people are facing felony charges for possessing fentanyl and methamphetamine inside a vehicle that was blocking a roadway at around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Nicole Knopf, 32, of 700 W. Spruce St., Mahanoy City, and Heather Rodgers, of 315 Front St., Friedensburg, who turns 24 on Friday, were each charged by Patrolman Kyle Schauer with felonies of criminal conspiracy and possession with intent to delivery, and misdemeanors of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
