Motorcycle crash

Paramedics work on two patients following a motorcycle crash in Elysburg Friday night.

ELYSBURG — Two Bernville residents received multiple injuries Friday evening when their motorcycle collided with the back of a vehicle on Route 54 near Sheetz.

Ralpho Township Police said Ronie Lee Sattadahm, 51, and Sarah McConnell, 42, were taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment after being thrown from the motorcycle.

Police said Sattadahm was turning from Route 54 onto East Valley Avenue when he collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by Ronald M. Knoebel, 75, of Elysburg, who was driving west on East Valley Avenue and making a turn into a commercial business.

Both Sattadahm and his passenger, McConnell, were thrown from the motorcycle upon collision. Initial reports stated one was unresponsive, but the victim responded at the scene before being placed into an ambulance.

Knoebel was not reported to be injured in the accident.

In addition to Ralpho Township police, the Elysburg and Overlook fire companies responded on scene.
