TREVORTON — An appreciation dinner was held at VFW Post 7813 for its social members and their families at 4 p.m. Nov. 11.

The opening prayer was given by Commander Jackson Long and was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by Delmar Foulds, adjutant.

The meal was prepared by Stacy Shingara, Lori Stiely, Tammy Shingara and Jim Shingara, who was in charge.

The event was attended by more than 60 guests.

Later, a memorial service was held at the post for senior vice commander and Vietnam veteran Chet Krepshaw, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 11.

An opening prayer was given by Pastor Brian Bettsworth and the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was led by Foulds.

The eulogy was given by Long, followed by taps presented by the Marine Corps League.

Family and many friends, post officers and members of the Marine Corps Honor Guard were present.
