MOUNT CARMEL — A borough woman has been charged with multiple offenses including driving under the influence after police said her sport utility vehicle struck a teenager riding a skateboard at Fourth and Oak streets Monday night.

Rachael Marie Delaney, 39, of 324 E. Seventh St., was arraigned Tuesday morning by Magisterial District Judge William Cole on a felony of aggravated assault by vehicle while under the influence, misdemeanors of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol and a combination of drugs, and summaries of two stop sign violations, careless driving, failing to render aid and give information, accidents involving death or injury and possessing a misbranded controlled substance.
