SHAMOKIN — Cody Horne, 25, of 221 S. Diamond St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolmen James Filko and Joshua Pastucka with fleeing from police, possessing a small amount of marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia and driving an unregistered vehicle (dirt bike) on a street relating to a Sept. 1 chase that started in the city and concluded in Tharptown.

Police said Horne was observed driving a dirt bike at the intersection of West Walnut and North Third streets at about 1:15 a.m. Officers attempted to stop Horne by activating their emergency lights and sirens, but he refused to halt and led police on a vehicle chase through multiple city streets before traveling to Tharptown, where he exited the dirt bike and fled on foot into a wooded area.
