COAL TOWNSHIP — Thomas Moser, 76, of 228 Main St., Locust Gap, will be cited with following too closely after a vehicle he was driving hit the rear of a trailer being towed by a Kulpmont dump truck on Route 61 Tuesday.
Moser’s vehicle sustained damage and was towed. Two passengers sustained minor injuries but weren’t transferred to a medical facility, police said.
The driver of the dump truck, Barry Fetterman, 69, of 1260 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, was not injured, nor was a passenger in his vehicle.
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP — Bradley Ray Bucher, 32, of Sunbury, was charged with driving under the influence by Trooper Daniel Wilk in relation to a July 22 accident.
Wilk reported Bucher was traveling south on Route 61 and attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him operated by Eve Marie Maurer, of Mount Carmel. He struck the rear of the vehicle, which came to a controlled stop in the parking lot of Masser’s Farm Market.
Bucher’s vehicle continued south for approximately 100 yards before striking a guard rail, crossing both southbound lanes and entering the northbound lanes before stopping on the northbound shoulder of the road in brush.
There were five passengers in the Lahr vehicle ranging in age from infant to 33.
