Driver charged

MIDDLECREEK TOWNSHIP — Joshua C. Super-Scretching, 25, of Middleburg, was charged by Cpl. Joel Zimmerman of state police at Selinsgrove with a misdemeanor of accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed and summary traffic violations in connection with a July 3 accident at the intersection of Route 522 and First Street.

Police reported Trooper Alexander D. Barretts, 23, of Selinsgrove, was traveling south on Route 522 while responding to a crash at 9:35 a.m. with his emergency lights and siren activated when a vehicle operated by Super-Scretching pulled onto Route 522 from First Street into the path of the police car.

Both vehicles collided and came to rest on their roofs in the northbound lanes.

Vehicle accident

COAL TOWNSHIP — No injuries were reported in a vehicle accident on Sunday during which police said a Route 61 southbound Kia operated by Renee Foulds, 42, of Shamokin, struck a parked Ford SUV owned by Allan Kistler, of 1050 Wolverton St., Sunbury.

The Kia sustained heavy damage to the front end and heavy damage to the left rear of the Ford was reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
