Drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN — Sterling Axl Feldges, 29, of Columbia County Prison, was charged by Patrolman Brandon Cohick with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness related to an incident at 3:53 a.m. Thursday.
Cohick responded to a report of a male believed to be high on drugs at Mid Town Laundromat, 55 E. Independence St. Feldges was unresponsive to initial attempts to speak to him, but eventually came to. He permitted police to do a search for weapons, during which Cohick uncovered a syringe in Feldge’s left pocket.
He was transported to Centre County Prison on a warrant by Northumberland County Probation.
SHAMOKIN — Jordan Lee Pawelczyk, 25, of 233 S. Sixth St., Shamokin, was charged with retail theft by Patrolman Brandon Cohick related to a July 17 incident.
Weis Loss Prevention told police on July 17, July 20 and Aug. 4, Pawelczyk was caught on store camera placing items into a purse or bookbag and exiting the store without paying. It is estimated the total value of the items is $56.
Flight to avoid apprehension
COAL TOWNSHIP — Logan C. Faust, 22, of 1656 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, was charged with flight to avoid apprehension by Cpl Terry Ketchem Jr. related to a June 16 offense.
Ketchem reported seeing Faust get into the passenger side of a vehicle and knowing there was an active warrant for him, conducted a vehicle stop in the Anthra Plaza. Despite being told to stop, Faust was able to get out of the vehicle and run into the woods behind the Anthra Plaza, dropping his cell phone in the process.
His mother, Dawn Faust, called the police department to inform them her son called and told her police would have to shoot him because he wasn’t going back to jail. She called at another time and said Logan Faust told her he would be turning himself into police if he could be guaranteed to go to rehab and not jail.
