Drug paraphernalia

SHAMOKIN — Patrolman Brandon Cohick has charged Sterling A. Feldges, 29, an inmate at Columbia County Prison in Bloomsburg, with possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness relating to an Aug. 16 incident at Mid Town Laundromat on East Independence Street.

Police reported Feldges was found under the influence of a controlled substance that he claimed was heroin and also was found in possession of a used syringe.

One-vehicle accident

COAL TOWNSHIP — Justin Bradley Hummel, 29, of Shamokin, was cited by Coal Township police for accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property and careless driving.

Hummel was driving a vehicle west on Dewart Street at 12:11 a.m. Feb. 9 and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway and ended up striking a metal railing. Police report the vehicle continued to travel into a dirt lot off of Route 61, where the vehicle rolled onto its roof. Hummel was not injured in the accident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
