COAL TOWNSHIP — The Coal Township Police Department in investigating a hit-and-run that occurred at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday on Route 61 near Feeney Street. Police reported that Shandom Spangler, 22, of York, was operating a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the southbound travel lane when a silver Subaru SUV/Crossover moved from the passing lane to the travel lane, hitting the driver’s side of the Jeep. The Jeep spun 270-degrees in a counter-clockwise motion. The Jeep sustained damage, including paint transfer, a dent to the driver’s door and a blown tire. The suspect vehicle continued down Feeney Street, where it turned right and drove toward Springfield.
