COAL TOWNSHIP — Ryan Applegate, 30, of 319 Center St., Elysburg, was involved in a motorcycle accident at 6:43 a.m. Sunday on the Cameron Bridge. Police said he was negotiating a left curve onto the bridge and lost control of his motorcycle.
Applegate sustained minor injuries and was transported to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, police said. The motorcycle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
COAL TOWNSHIP — A 13-year-old Shamokin male and a 14-year-old Paxinos male were both charged by Coal Township police with disorderly conduct in relation to a May 29 fight in the hallway of Shamokin Area Middle/High School. No injuries were reported.
COAL TOWNSHIP — A 16-year-old Shamokin male was charged by Coal Township police with disorderly conduct after allegedly punching another male from Shamokin several times in the head in the hallway at Shamokin Area Middle/High School on May 28.
COAL TOWNSHIP — A 13-year-old Shamokin male was charged by Coal Township police with possessing a weapon on school property. Police allege the male brought a pocket knife to Shamokin Area Middle/High School on May 28. The charge was filed with the Northumberland County Juvenile Services.
Access device fraud
NORTHUMBERLAND — Adam Matthew Calloway, 20, of 205 1/2 Water St., was charged by Patrolman Michael Vognetz with a felony of access device fraud, 26 felony counts of identity theft and a misdemeanor of theft of lost, mislaid or delivered property.
Police reported Calloway is accused of stealing a Mifflinburg Bank card belonging to Lorrette Deysher, of Northumberland, and using it 13 times at Weis Markets, Turkey Hill Minit Market and Penn Jersey Mart to purchase $1,400 worth of items on June 2 and June 3.
COAL TOWNSHIP — Patrolman Gregory Hoffman charged Julie M. Buckwash, 30, of 220 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, with driving under the influence of alcohol relating to a May 21 incident in the 1600 block of Trevorton Road.
Police reported Buckwash had a blood-alcohol content of 0.391%.
COAL TOWNSHIP — June E. Schaffner, 44, of 170 E. Dewart St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Gregory Hoffman with driving under the influence of a controlled substance relating to a May 22 accident in the 1900 block of Trevorton Road.
Police reported Schaffner was driving under the influence of amphetamines, diazepam and nordiazepam.
SHAMOKIN — Cpl. Bryan Primerano charged Zorina Khan, 36, of Richmond Hill, New York, and Shakim Myers, 28, of Brooklyn, New York, with causing a public nuisance and disorderly conduct.
Khan is accused of allowing properties she owns at 600, 602 and 604 E. Spurzheim St. to be in a state of collapse, causing safety issues.
Myers is accused of allowing properties he owns at 710 and 712 N. Shamokin St. to be in a state of collapse, causing safety issues.
