PHILADELPHIA — Barbara Bodner, 77, of Philadelphia, was called to her eternal rest, Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Barbara was born June 19, 1943, in Duryea, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Osevala) Bodner.

She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Elementary School and Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Class of 1961.

Barbara worked for more than 40 years in Philadelphia at the brokerage firms of Bucher & Singer and Jenney Montgomery Scott, serving as vice president for both firms.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Philadelphia.

Barbara was a loving, giving person. Her family meant the world to her. She was always available when needed.

Barbara is survived by two sisters, Rose Milbrand and Margaret Neary; a dear, special friend, Theresa Olcese (often known by Barbara as her fourth sister); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Zaneski; and brothers-in-law, Walter Neary and Chester Milbrand.

BODNER — Barbara Bodner, 77, of Philadelphia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Church, First and Chestnut streets, Coal Township. There will not be a visitation. Burial of her cremated remains will follow Mass in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Hope Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, St. Judes’s Childrens Hospital, or Shriners Children’s Hospital, in Philadelphia.
