SHAMOKIN — David P. “Dave” Andracchio passed away suddenly on July 12, 2021, after a very brief illness.

Born in Shamokin, Dave was the son of the late Lawrence “Lottie” Andracchio and Marie (Menegat) Andracchio.

After graduating from Shamokin Area High School, Dave enlisted in the National Guard, of which he was a proud member. Dave was a fantastic cook, often reminiscing of his time working in an Arizona restaurant. His early career path was as a skilled mason and bricklayer.

Not one to conform or be bound by social conventions, he lived his life as he saw fit. Dave liked spending time at home “surfing the net,” increasing his knowledge through internet research and following current political and world events.

In his healthier days, Dave enjoyed sharing his passion for treasure hunting and metal detecting with his “bub,” Alexis, who will continue the search in his honor.

Dave is survived by a son, Dion (Andracchio) Dadurka, of New York; a daughter, Alexis Andracchio and fiancé Kurt Klinger, of Shamokin; and two beautiful granddaughters, Amelia and Adelaide. In addition, Dave is survived by brothers Michael Andracchio, of Williamsport, and Bruno Andracchio, husband of Ann Marie (Fiamoncini), of Hamburg, and numerous nieces and nephews who have fond memories of Uncle Dave. Lastly, Dave is survived by his dog, Monte, who was a faithful friend and companion.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence “Larry” Andracchio.
