YORK — Dorothy H. Pinamonti, 91, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Autumn House West in York.

Dorothy was born on April 21, 1929, in Mount Carmel. She was one of 11 children to the late Joseph and Emily (Kubelozius) Galinis.

Dorothy was a former employee with Rea & Derick Drug Store and worked as a seamstress with Biddles in Mechanicsburg.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg; the National Council of Catholic Women; the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary; and the Mechanicsburg VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

In her youth, Dorothy was very involved in high school sodality and choir. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, William V. Pinamonti, a son, Michael J. Pinamonti, her six siblings, Mary Dudzinski, Magdeline Heil, Emily Lokitis, Genevieve Procopio, Albert and Joseph Galinis, and a great- granddaughter, Elizabeth Faith Pinamonti.

Surviving are her four children, Kathleen Hough, of Carlisle, Richard Pinamonti, of Halifax, Annette Reigle (Glenn), of Longmont, Colorado, and Mark Pinamonti (Holly), of York; a daughter-in-law, Terry Pinamonti, of Camp Hill; three sisters, Anna DiFrancesco, of Royersford, Agnes Thomas, of Etters, and Helen Lattanzio, of Harrisburg, as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and aides of Laurel Court at Autumn House West in York and Asana Hospice for all their love, personal and professional care given to our mother during her time there.

A public viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, and will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/stjosephmechanicsburg.
