WILBURTON — Emma Lonsdale passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at the age of 83.

Emma was born May 5, 1938, to John and Ruth Colahan. She spent her life living near her family in Wilburton with her husband, Dale, and three children, Linda, Stephen and Robert.

Emma had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone. She loved spending time with her sisters eating lunch and drinking black coffee at their favorite local restaurants and was always up for a family party or get together. Her smile and laughter would fill a room. She was well known by many people and loved to talk and laugh with anyone. You could always hear her talking about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her father, John, her mother, Ruth, her husband, Dale, her son, Stephen, and her brother, James. She is survived by her daughter, Linda and Rick Hicks, her son, Robert, her grandchildren, Jennifer and Todd Stephens, Danielle and Jonathan Zeigler, Tommy and Jessica Minnig and Jessica Lonsdale, and her great grandchildren Madison, Harper, Noah, Lucas, Ezekiel, Cameron, and Grayson as well as her sisters, Jackie, Nancy, Donna, and cousins, nieces, and nephews.

LONSDALE — Funeral services will be held from the Zion United Methodist Church, Aristes, at 11 a.m. Thursday. A viewing will be held Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. from the Zion United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help defray the funeral expenses.
