MOUNT CARMEL — Faye I. (Conrad) Kostenbauder, 94, formerly of Aristes, died at 7:47 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Mount Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she resided since September 2009.

She was born in Centralia, Nov. 20, 1926, a daughter of the late James and Alda (Keller) Conrad. She resided in Aristes most of her life, and was the last of her immediate family.

She was a 1944 graduate of the former Centralia High School.

Faye was last employed by the former Emenee Shirt Factory, in Catawissa, and previously at the former Arrow Shirt Co. plant, in Shamokin.

Surviving are three children, Linda Sommers and her husband, Larry, of Catawissa, Paul L. Kostenbauder, and his wife, Sandra, of Aristes, and Judy Gratti, of Coal Township; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Kostenbauder, Dec. 22, 1982; a son, Robert James Kostenbauder; a daughter, Faye Coulter; two grandsons, Scott Kostenbauder and Michael Alderson; a brother, Wilbur Conrad; and a sister, Arlene Zimmerman.

KOSTENBAUDER — Faye I. (Conrad) Kostenbauder, 94, formerly of Aristes. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Zion Cemetery, in Aristes. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc., Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
