KULPMONT — Frank P. Fetsko, 95, of 135 Vermont Drive, Serenity Garden, and formerly of 1814 Park Ave., Coal Township, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born in Shamokin, Jan. 29, 1923, a son of the late Michael Fecko and Mary (Valko) Fecko.
Frank attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Coal Township High School Class of 1942.
Frank served with the U.S. Army, having entered active duty Nov. 18, 1948, from Carteret, New Jersey. During his enlistment, he served with Co. L 29th Infantry Regiment APO 331 as their squad leader. He received an honorable discharge Dec. 21, 1949. After his discharge from the Army he resided in California for 10 years then moved to Bloomfield, New Jersey, for 25 years before returning to Shamokin.
He was employed as foreman at Fiberboard of California for 10 years, then worked for the next 25 years as a dental technician at Cooperative Labs IPCO Corp., in Bloomfield, New Jersey. After returning to Shamokin, he worked at Indian Hills Golf and Tennis Club as its groundskeeper.
Frank was a member of Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin.
Frank is survived by his son, Michael Fetsko and his wife, Nancy, of Cranford, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Emily, Lucy and Michael Jr.; a sister, Leona Oldyn, of Coal Township; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Fetsko; and two sisters, Agnes Bonschock and Mary Zyla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin. A viewing will be held at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Coal Township.
