ELYSBURG — George R. Griscavage, 82, of Elysburg, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

George was born in Kulpmont, March 21, 1938, a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Bondy) Griscavage.

George graduated from Kulpmont High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

George married the former Joan E. Clark (Hill), Dec. 8, 1973.

He was employed by Kenneth Crowl Inc., Elysburg, until he retired in 1999.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Joan, are a daughter, Gail Bloom and her husband, Joseph, of Seven Points; four sons, Richard Hill and his wife, Mary, of Catawissa; Scott Hill and his wife, Julie, of Irish Valley; Keith Hill and his wife, Emily, of Elysburg, and Brian Griscavage and his wife, Susan, of Catawissa; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Griscavage, of Kulpmont; a sister, Jean Barnes, of Catawissa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Erdman; and a nephew, Vance Erdman.

GRISCAVAGE — George R. Griscavage, 82, of Elysburg. A viewing will be held at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday followed by a memorial service. Interment will be in Stonington Baptist Church Cemetery.
