KULPMONT — Grace Thomas Gober, 86, of Kulpmont, passed away peacefully May 2, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Grace, daughter of the late Agnes and Frank Tomtishen, was born Sept. 28, 1934, in Atlas, and attended Mount Carmel Township High School.

She married the love of her life, Roy Victor Thomas, on May 31, 1952.

Grace worked for the Arrow Shirt Company for 20 years and then later in life worked as a caregiver for Home Instead. She married Francis Gober in 1985, by whom she was also preceded in death.

Grace was active in the Polish Cultural Club and the Mount Carmel Senior Action Center. Grace enjoyed dancing throughout her life and eventually joined a country line dancing group as a senior.

Survivors include her two beloved daughters: Susan Hepler and husband, Dennis, of Kulpmont, and Tricia Kastelic, of Moyock, North Carolina; and grandchildren Suzie Nestico, Corey Hepler, Drew Kastelic, and Kevin Kastelic; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, five sisters and one brother.

GOBER — Grace Thomas Gober, 86, of Kulpmont. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont, with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be private for the family. A viewing will be held in the Church prior to the Mass from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Maria Kaupas Center, 438 W. Avenue, Mount Carmel 17851. Arrangements are in care of C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N.
