PAXINOS — Irvin F. Snyder III, 64, of 645 Mountain Road, passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at his residence.

He was born June 17, 1957, a son of Irving and Marlene (Noll) Snyder, who preceded him in death.

Irvin was a 1975 graduate of Southern Columbia High School, where he played football and wrestled.

On Oct. 14, 1978, Irvin married the love of his life, Cynthia S. Labusky, at the First Presbyterian Church in Shamokin. They would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Oct. 14, 2021.

After his service in the military, he pursued a career as a supervisor and warehouse manager in the garment industry, working at numerous companies in the area. His last job was working at Lady Ester in Berwick as part of the management team.

Irvin enjoyed woodworking, auctions, collecting and spending time with his family and pets. Upon his retirement, he gave his time by being an administrator to many Facebook recovery and addiction groups and helped so very many people. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

Irvin enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after he graduated and served from 1975 to 1979, being stationed mostly at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. He continued his service in the military reserve unit at the Air National Guard base in Harrisburg and participated on scheduled weekends.

Irvin is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Cindy) and their three children, Melissa F. Muraco and her fiance, Antori Miranda, of Elysburg, Melanie J. Snyder and her fiance, Josh Daya, of Paxinos and Frank Thomas Snyder and his fiance, Katie, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandsons, Parker Thomas Guinther and Rostam Snyder; a sister, Charlene Hemp and her husband, Barry, of Georgetown, Delaware; his mother-in-law Janet H. (Szekely) Labusky, of Sunnyside; a nephew, David Madara and his wife, Tammy, and their children, of Nescopeck; an uncle, Charles Noll, of Florida; plus many cousins and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Irvin was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Thomas D. Labusky; a sister, Cyndi Madara; a brother, Charles Snyder; a niece Corrine Madara and a granddaughter, Madison Guinther.

SNYDER — Irvin F. Snyder III, 64, of 645 Mountain Road, Paxinos. A viewing will be held at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, 120 S. Market. St., Shamokin, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. A service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. David Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington.
