COAL TOWNSHIP — Patricia L. Engle, 90, of Coal Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born March 17, 1931, a daughter of the late Beatrice and John Hoy. She was a lifelong resident of the area.

Pat was a 1949 graduate of Shamokin High School.

Pat married the love of her life, Robert E. Engle, Dec. 21, 1953. They both shared a joy for traveling and spent much of their lives on cross-country adventures, full of laughter, excitement and most of all, love! Her trips, as many know, were extremely well documented in the many photo albums that the family would look at each and every holiday that was spent together at her home.

Family was the most important thing to Pat and anyone that knew her, knew how deeply she cared for each and every person in her life. She remembered everything and was truly the most thoughtful person, making other people feel special and always seeing the good in everyone.

To her grandchildren, she was “Nana,” and to the world she was kind, joyful, caring, strong and just full of love. She was an active and faithful member of her church as well as her community, leading and participating in many social and philanthropic events throughout her life. Pat was so loved and touched so many people’s lives. She will truly be missed.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Patrice Molesevich and son-in-law, Dave Molesevich, of Coal Township, and their children, David Molesevich, of Coal Township, and Morgan Molesevich, of Plains; a daughter-in-law, Kerry (Engle) Georgeadis, of Wyomissing; three granddaughters, Ashley (Engle) Meskill and her husband, Matty, and their children Quincy, Liv and Roxanne, of Montclair, New Jersey, Lynsey (Engle) Towne and her husband, Adam, and their children Franklin and Lucy of Verona, New Jersesy, and Cydney (Engle) and her fiance, Cooper Donnelly, of Brooklyn, New York; two sisters, Barbara Kessler, of Coal Township, and Corrine Thomas, of Shamokin; and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Engle; her son, Robert P. Engle; and 10 siblings, Gloria Klees, Joan Marcinek, Jean Manning, Faith Hoy, Hope Shephard, Jack Hoy, William Hoy, Bernie Hoy, Glenn Hoy and Gary Hoy.

Our condolences to the Engle family. Pat had been a good neighbor to us on Sunbury St. Our boys had grown up playing with their children. May God's peace be with you and comfort you at this time. The Dimm family.
