COAL TOWNSHIP — Richard “Dick” Miller, 68, of 1812 Raven Ave., passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at the home he and his loving wife, Karen, shared for the past 33 years.

Dick was born in Germany, Dec. 14, 1953, a son of the late Richard Edward and Anna (Falter) Miller.

He graduated from Shamokin Area High School.

Dick was married to the former Karen M. Maynard, who survives.

A welder, Dick last worked for Fleetwood, in Paxinos.

He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, in Coal Township.

Dick was a life member of the Maine Fire Co., in Coal Township, and a member of the Keystone Fish and Game Club, in Irish Valley, where he enjoyed going shooting. Dick loved to live life to the fullest.

In addition to Karen, his loving and devoted wife, Dick is survived by a son, Zachary J. Brown and his wife, Tracy, of Paxinos; a daughter, Jolene V. Retallack and her husband, John, of Trevorton; six grandchildren, Kyran Brown, Kasey Brown, Ayden Quade, Veronica Quade, Rory Retallack and Reign Retallack; a great-grandson, Asher Brown; close cousins, Gail Runberger, Nancy Galgocy, Holly Helterbran and others; and numerous friends.

Dick loved and lived his life for his wife, children and grandchildren. They were the world to him. He will be sorely missed by his entire family and the many friends he made during his lifetime.
