TREVORTON — Robert L. Derck, 66, of 443 E. Shamokin St., Trevorton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1951, in Shamokin, a son of the late Thomas W. and Vivian E. (Orner) Derck.

Bob was a coal miner, life member of Fairview Gun Club, West Cameron Nimrods and Forest Hill Fire Co.

He enjoyed family time, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, putting puzzles together, cook books and spending time with close friends.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Derck Jr. and fiance, Tracy Troup, of Shamokin, and Shawn Derck and wife, Barb, of Shamokin; grandchildren, Amanda Derck, Rebecca Derck, Krysta Bitting and Kayleigh Jones; great-grandchildren, Jayelyn, Kady, Jesalyn, Hayden, Hayden B., Arionna and Aubree; a sister, Marjorie Dunkelberger and husband, Keith Sr., of Trevorton Road; nephews, Thomas Derck and Keith Dunkelberger Jr. and wife, Tara; a niece, Amy Keefer and husband, Shane; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Derck and Thomas L. Derck Sr.

DERCK — Robert L Derck,66, of 443 E. Shamokin St., Trevorton. At the request of Bob, there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of teh family. The Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
