COAL TOWNSHIP — Stefanie Michelle Lichty, 43, of 41 S. Oak St., passed away at her home Thursday, May 12, 2022.

She was born in Shamokin, Oct. 21, 1978, a daughter of James M. Lichty and Michelle (Wasielewski) Getchey.

Stefanie was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Stefanie had a gift for decorating. Her home decor was beautiful and was filled with her beloved gnomes.

She is survived by her loving family, including a son, Jayman E. Lichty, of Coal Township; her father, James M. Lichty and his wife, Crystal, of Coal Township; her mother, Michelle Getchey and husband, Edward, of Coal Township; grandmother, Betty Lichty, of Coal Township; brothers, James N. Lichty, of Coal Township, and Jason J. Lichty and his wife, Dena, of Coal Township; cousins, Case Lichty, of Coal Township, and Alex Hartman, of Coal Township; aunts, Joanne Rodarmel, of Coal Township, Marie Snyder, of Coal Township, Susan Witmer, of Coal Township, and Eileen Lesavage and her husband, Tom, of Kulpmont; and an uncle, Alan Lichty, of Coal Township;

Stefanie was preceded in death by grandparents, Helen and Norman Wasielewski and Jacob Lichty; and uncles, Michael Rodarmel, Kieran “KK” Snyder and David Witmer.

LICHTY — Stefanie Michelle Lichty, 43, of 41 S. Oak St., Coal Township. There will not be a visitation at this time. A service will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Kelley Funeral Home, James F. Kelley, director, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township.
