KULPMONT — Sylvia A. Boslego, 71, of 191 Poplar Drive, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with her family at her side after a courageous two and half year battle with cancer.

She was born in Ashland, July 13, 1947, a daughter of the late Regis J. and Helen A. (Ferrari) Brecker.

She graduated from Mount Carmel High School.

Sylvia was employed as a pharmacy tech at Scott’s Pharmacy in Coal Township.

On Jan. 23, 1964, in St. Joseph’s Church, Locust Gap, Sylvia married the love of her life, Michael Boslego, who survives. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage.

She was a member of Holy Angels Church.

She enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays and spending time with her family and her grandchildren, who were the love of her life.

In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by two granddaughters, Taylor Getty, of Philadelphia, and Cameron Getty, of Marion Heights; a brother, William Brecker and his wife, Patricia, of Kulpmont; a sister, RoseAnn Mall and her husband, Dennis, of Elysburg; a nephew, William Brecker Jr. and his wife, Stacey, of Mount Carmel; three nieces, Lisa (Ward) Elverson and her husband, Al, of Collegeville, Kelly (Mall) Eshleman and her husband, Mike, of East Followfield, and Charissa (Mall) Defrancesco and her husband, Carmen, of Gilbertsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Leanne (Boslego) Getty.

BOSLEGO — Sylvia A. Boslego, 71, of 191 Poplar Drive, Kulpmont. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 47 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Francis Karwacki as celebrant. Burial will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday with vigil prayers at 10 a.m. at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, supervisor.
