KULPMONT — Tara Yancheski, 45, of 1113 Scott St., passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, a loved daughter of Steven Yancheski and the late Melody A. Holland.

She attended school in Mount Carmel and then later graduated from Overlea High School in Maryland.

She was employed at Wagner’s as a fork lift operator in Maryland.

Tara valiantly fought a drug addiction for 30 years resulting in four open heart surgeries. She served prison time at Sunbury, Muncy, Cambridge Springs and Columbia County. She died in a prison cell in Northumberland County.

“He raised me up to walk on stormy seas.”

Tara is survived by her father, Steven Yancheski and his wife, Joy; and her son, Braydon; a brother, Anthony Baccala; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Melody A. Holland; a brother, Nicholas Baccala (overdosed); and her son Jonathan Yancheski (SIDS), 72 days old.
