ELYSBURG — Thomas R. Reich, 79, of Elysburg, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

He was born in Ringtown, Oct. 27, 1941, a son of the late Lester and Pearl (Laudig) Reich.

He was a graduate of Kutztown University and obtained his Master’s in Education from Bloomsburg University.

He was a teacher and athletic director for many years at Shamokin Area High School and completed his career as the special education supervisor for the Pennsylvania State Board of Education.

He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and coached baseball at Shamokin Area High School and Southern Columbia Area High School for many years.

He loved sports, history, traveling and being involved in his grandchildren’s lives.

Surviving are his loving wife, Carol (Bradigan) Reich; a brother, Larry Reich and his wife, Kathie; a son, Thomas Reich and his wife, Marti; two daughters, Tammy Michaels and her fiancé, Todd Foust, and Heidi Cole and her husband, Gordon; grandchildren, Thomas Reich, Doug Michaels, Drew Michaels and Morgan Cole; and great-grandchildren, Brix and Kaylee Reich.
