When it comes to abortion, leftists refuse to confront and address the ugly and brutal truth of their sordid convictions. In their callousness, they dismiss the innocent unborn American lives that are aborted as predestined.
Last week, in the first day of the Democratic-led U. S. House of Representatives, they passed a spending bill that would repeal the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance program, which prevents any international organization from receiving abortion funding courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer.
Recently, an angry feminist (is there any other kind?) boasted that she was the impetus for YouTube to censor anti-abortion videos in any YouTube searches for “abortion.”
The Daily Wire highlighted a video of Amelia Bonow, who is the founder of “Shout Your Abortion,” praising abortion to a group of visibly upset middle school children. Bonow boasted of when and why she decided to kill her unborn child.
Then there’s Chelsea Clinton.
In a recent interview, the former first-daughter said it would be “unconscionable for the U.S. to return to the pre-Roe era when abortion was illegal.”
Clinton continued, “When I think about all of the statistics that are painful of what women are confronting today in our country, and what even more women confronted pre-Roe and how many women died and how many more women were maimed because of unsafe abortion practices, we just can’t go back to that.”
Clinton wasn’t finished, adding, “I’m sure this will unleash another wave of hate in my direction, but as a deeply religious person, it’s also unChristian to me.”
What is not only unChristian, but nefarious, is that since the advent of Roe v. Wade in 1973, more than 62 million babies have been aborted throughout these United States, which is more than the combined population of California and Florida.
Clinton’s continued defense of the most calamitous Supreme Court ruling in history is indefensible, particularly for someone who continues to identify as a Christian, but is truly an apostate.
For someone who has political aspirations, Clinton showcased her economic ignorance by claiming that Roe v. Wade was a financial windfall for the nation because women could abort their babies and enter the workforce saying, “American women entering the labor force from 1970 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy.”
The American Life League says it is quite the opposite, with an economic impact that has cost the American economy by an estimated $45 trillion in lost labor, a number that increases by $2.5 trillion every year.
The Constitution doesn’t contain any right to abortion, but since life begins at conception, it is an “inalienable right.” That is, however, in the Constitution, which entitles the unborn to the same rights as all the rest of us. Unborn children should be defended, not just by biblical principles, but also by reason and empirical evidence.
Why is it that a man in North Carolina who killed his pregnant wife has been charged with the death of two rather than one? How is such a barbaric crime considered double murder since the woman was pregnant, but not if she has that same child aborted?
In order to restore the jurisprudence envisioned by the Founding Fathers, the constitutionalists who now sit on the nation’s highest court have a duty to overturn Roe v. Wade. If such an egregious decision remains unchallenged and unchanged, it will only continue to propel government power into what the Founders regarded as the very definition of tyranny.
On Friday, the annual March for Life (MFL) will take place in Washington, D.C., and will gather more than 100,000 people in the blustery cold of January to provide a voice for the voiceless in their quest to end legal abortion.
The MFL’s slogan this year is “Unique From Day One.” That underscores not just a Christian truth, but a scientific fact that we are all exceptional and quite unique. Such an argument can only strengthen the determination and increase the dynamism of the pro-life movement throughout the country.
These pro-abortion feminists and their allies throughout the Democratic Party in Congress and in the mainstream media are not really trying to convince us, but attempting to assuage the innate guilt they have for themselves.
