To the editor: In the 2023 primary election, voters will select members of the community to represent them on school boards all across Pennsylvania.
We urge voters to learn as much as you can about your candidates, their qualifications and why they wish to serve on your local school board.
Will they defend your rights as parents? When you need to be heard will they listen?
Will they allow you access to see your children’s classroom materials in advance?
Do you know when your children are being surveyed in the classroom and the nature of the questions being asked?
How are your students’ privacy being protected?
These are all legitimate questions to ask. It is reasonable to expect answers from elected officials and candidates.
