Thank you to The News-Item for the excellent page one story by reporter Chris Grego on Bucknell students’ work this semester with the Mount Carmel Area Public Library. Thank you also for the “Cheers” designation accorded on the Opinion Page to two of the students for their efforts.

Even though only two students were able to participate in a presentation at the library, it was actually four students who worked hard throughout the semester to suggest ways to help the library meet its current financial and organizational challenges.

The final report was the work of all four — Halie Mariano, Ashley Pena, Margot Tucker and Paulina Johansson, Management for Sustainability students of professor Eric Martin.

The students, who are all graduating from Bucknell this month, provided the librarian and board of directors with creative suggestions for programs and policies to help the library better serve our community. We are so grateful for what the students have done to help our library and extend them our best wishes for success and happiness in their personal and professional lives.
