To the editor: Residents of a Perry County community are upset with the vulgar “anti-Biden” flags and other items that are visible to the public at various locations throughout this central Pennsylvania farming area. Similarly, these items are displayed at some of our local homes. There are a number of “F- — Biden” flags draped from area porches. Additionally, we have witnessed disruptive behavior at public events and meetings. Are these actions leading us to a path of incivility? Are these crazy gestures of indecency, imprudence and disrespectfulness becoming a norm that we must accept?

Whose lead are these individuals following? Where did these people get the idea or scheme that it is appropriate to use vulgarity or to comment on an elected official’s physical appearance or race?
