To the editor: To categorize the top qualities of Jazz Diminick is no easy task. One thing I know for sure, Jazz knew how to connect with his players. He inspired quality performance and got results. Jazz was a great communicator who set defined goals, expressed these goals and ideas clearly to our team, gave direct feedback and acknowledged our success.

Listening was another asset; he welcomed comments, questions and feedback. Jazz was the leader that unified the team to achieve a single purpose. He inspired us to excel, rewarded a positive attitude and enthusiasm, and most importantly, cared deeply about each of us.

Jazz was a mentor and counselor, as well as a coach. How fortunate we are to have been a Red Tornado.
