To the Editor: The Rick K. and the Allnighters show held on Sunday, Oct. 14, by the Kulpmont Cruise Association at the Mount Carmel Area High School, was an outstanding performance. Rick K. and the band were amazed with the auditorium because they were able to use their entire lighting system that they cannot use when performing inside.

The audience was thrilled with the variety of songs from the 1950s to present-day. Honoring our World War II veterans aged 90 to 98 was a highlight of the show.

We would liked to thank Hollywood Bakery, the Subway at Walmart and Linda at Weis Markets for providing food and cake for the band and our veterans.

Rick K. agreed to return to Mount Carmel on the corresponding Sunday next October.

Seventy percent of the crowd came from outside of our area. The cruise association would like to see more people from our immediate area supporting these programs that rase money to support many of our youth programs, help build local playgrounds and donate money to local organizations in need.

On Sunday, April 7, the Mahoney Brothers, America’s best tribute band, will visit Mount Carmel Area High School for their annual show. Presently they are touring Canada, casinos on the Eastern shore and other parts of the U.S. They have recorded some new songs of the Bee Gees, Roy Orbison, Billy Joel, The Eagles and more.

On April 7, we will honor our local firefighters, and I have been in touch with a representative from the New York Fire Departments Association to get some New York City firemen involved with 9/11.

Reserve Sunday, April 7, for a 4 p.m. show by the Mahoney Brothers and a special program honoring our local heroes and the NYFD.
