The impeachment proceeding by the House of Representatives, followed by the defense of Trump in the Senate, clearly indicate that our justice system is being realigned and transformed by the Republicans in the U.S. Senate.
This change was officially launched by Harvard Professor Dershowitz when he began his defense of Trump. Is he a brilliant lawyer? Yes, he is ingenious and innovative in establishing a defense. Of course, he has had much experience. He defended O.J. Simpson and Claus von Bulow, the Danish-British socialite who was convicted of twice of attempting to murder his wife and was later acquitted in one of the most sensational social dramas of the 1980s. He defended “junk bond king” Michael Milken and sexual predator and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. And now he appears at Trump’s defense with the argument “Trump can do anything he wants to get reelected.”
