To the editor: Trump’s recent Iowa rally was an example of extreme, aggressive and irresponsible comments. However, beyond that nonsense, I noticed how some people were flying the American flag upside down, twisted, muddied and shredded. Is this what Trump supporters consider patriotism? It is both offensive and counterproductive if their goal is to influence voters toward their way of thinking.

Also, I noticed the many profanity-laced anti-Biden signs and flags. I wonder what kind of people are willing to express their disappointment and outrage at the expense of young children who are reading these messages? I certainly do not believe these types of displays will make America great again.
