The Sewer Authority has approximately 2,000 customers from Marion Heights, Kulpmont and Natalie. Its operating budget is approximately $300,000 and it has yearly debt obligations of approximately $300.000. The authority is governed by seven members — five from Kulpmont and two from Marion Heights. These members are properly appointed by the borough councils when a vacancy exists.

User fees are collected quarterly and used to pay for daily operations and debt reduction. The Authority has loans and interest payable of approximately $3,000,000 with monthly payments averaging $25,000. In 2022 loan payments jump for that year to approximately $432,000 due to a series of bonds coming due.
