To the editor: All actions taken to combat this virus are centered around “social spacing” and accented by closing of all non-essential businesses. Our government, on all levels, is closing businesses and activities that may have individuals congregating in large groups, which can, with physical contact, help spread this new strain of life-threatening virus.
Businesses chosen to close are being identified by their direct impact on the products and services that they supply. Our state officials weigh the importance of those businesses and classify them essential or non-essential. Any entity that supplies products deemed necessary to sustain life are given the green light to remain open and continue to dispense its goods.
