Off-road chaos

I think allowing off-road vehicles into Shamokin is not going to end well. I understand the thinking behind it, but it will quickly devolve into chaos. Firstly, the people coming here obviously drove, they have money, so why wouldn’t they drive a mile and a half to come into town after the day’s fun? Second, if you were a business owner, would you want five or six mud-caked people tracking mud, and dripping water and dirt all over your shop, only for them to leave five minutes later? These people won’t be buying shirts and trinkets, and then going back out on the trail. This falls under the saying, “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”
