Birds of a feather

Last week the religious leader Reverend Franklin Graham said he has never heard a lie from Donald Trump. Really? Thousands of Trump’s lies have been reported by the press. Many of these lies are documented with Trump on video, like Trump telling a plane full of reporters that he did not know of the $130,000 payoff he made to the adult film star. Either Reverend Graham only watches the 700 Club on TV or he is as big of a liar as Trump. It is most probably the latter.

Worked up

The pro-lifers going crazy about a change to a Virginia law governing abortion should read the law. This amendment will continue to allow late-term abortions only if a licensed doctor certifies that the pregnancy will result in death or serious physical impairment. This is just another example how the Republican Party works up pro-lifers with lies so they will be single-issue voters, voting against the interest of themselves and their families.

Two sides

This post in Sound Off is great. it should be posted at polling places. not all Democrats are pro-choice and not all Republicans are not or are not morally superior as in Trump. There are many decent candidates from both parties and should be judged accordingly.

Marching orders

It appears that Trump’s five private conversations with Putin are where he gets his next set of instructions on how to disrupt and demean our own government. Why else would he meet alone and tear up the translator notes? In the same week that the intelligence agencies report that Russia continues to try to get into our election system, Trump lifts some of the sanctions we had imposed. As Eric proudly announced “We don’t need American banks. We get all we need from Russia.”

There is 24 hours in a day, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. equals 10 1/2 hours of daylight. 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. is 13 1/2 hours of night. If you get out of bed at noon, you get 5 1/2 hours of daylight. They should pass a law for daylight savings time only.

Just the facts

I remember when you couldn’t tell whether a news anchor or a journalist was a Republican or Democrat. A conservative or liberal. I remember when they were more concerned with the story right than being first. Now we have bombshell reports and firecracker retractions. The approval rating is lower than ever. They have no one to blame but themselves. Please report all sides of the story and let the people decide.

Walled in

I really believe 100 percent that Mr. Trump should build walls. Not a wall, but walls. He should build them around all his properties and golf courses, not to keep the illegals out, but to keep all his illegal employees in.

What for?

I understand that the fired teacher will be paid through the end of the school year even though she is not working and that her insurance will carry her through her pregnancy. What exactly does she want that she is suing everybody?

A few questions

So the governor of Virginia is being pressured tremendously to resign his office because, what, 25 years ago he wore blackface in his yearbook. Now, I have a few questions. Number one, who goes out of their way to dig this stuff up? Number two, what is their agenda? There is something more that they want him out of office, not because of this. Number three, why is it OK to propose a bill that you murder an infant while it is being birthed but it is not OK to have done something 25 years earlier and still retain your public office?
