Reading Mr. Leschinskie’s letter to the editor reminds me of me when I was 10 years old and got caught doing something I shouldn’t have been. I tried to blame everyone else, and that the whole world was against me. Thankfully, my parents took the time to explain to me at that age that when you do something wrong and get caught, you own up to it, take your medicine and move on. That is what builds a person’s character. Eventually, you mature and understand that blaming others for your malfeasance isn’t the proper thing to do. I do not see this from this gentleman’s letter. I see someone who is throwing a hissy fit because he didn’t get what he wanted, when he wanted it and will not take responsibility for his past actions. I’m a lifelong Republican and I’m so glad this gentleman isn’t on council.
