What’s the deal?

I see The News-Item went out of its way last week to print information in regard to the Act 47 discussions that were held at the center on Arch Street. It’s quite clear The News-Item is in favor of this because they didn’t publish comments except from Craig Fetterman, who is a Coal Township commissioner. What kind of concern could he have for the dilemma that Shamokin is in? What The News-Item should do is report on the people who don’t like the idea. I’m sure they won’t print this call. Editor: I would be happy to show you the amount of anti-government study commission letters to the editor and Sound Off calls we’ve published in the past two months. Kudos to Mr. Fetterman for educating himself on an issue that, in due time, could be knocking on his door over at Coal Township. And remember, a successful Shamokin is a successful Coal Township, and vice versa.
